The BÄKO GRUPPE NORD is made up of BÄKO-ZENTRALE NORD eG, which is headquartered in Duisburg, and the branch in Rellingen, a suburb of Hamburg, and about 24 regional co-operatives. These baker and confectionary companies, whose customers are also the owners, operate in the market as leading business organisations in the baking profession. They offer a wide range of goods and services.

BÄKO GRUPPE NORD also has as members approximately 9,000 bakers as our customers in the northern half of Germany, who are outfitted with a range of approximately 60,000 products and all kinds of services.

The services rendered by BÄKO include inter alia procurement of inputs and raw materials at inexpensive prices on world markets, especially seeds, canned fruit and dried fruit - a unique purchasing and logistic network offering fresh products as a blanket service, current products and services in the areas of baking technology, store design, cash register and DP systems and, last but not least, the development of BÄKO's own brands for the bakery and sales in the shop.

100 years of BÄKO
Incepted as a co-operative self-help organisation, BÄKO demonstrates today as well that an enterprise with a long tradition can still be abreast of the times thanks to its years of experience and special competence and skills.

Its most important and enduring tradition as members and customers are its master bakers and confectioners. The advantage the co-operative has to offer is a community and its orientation towards the needs of its members. This allows it to cluster and concentrate energy while strengthening the individual members in the field of competition. In this way everyone benefits by working together in a co-operative manner.
